5 Limes has proven experience in integrating MYOB with SharePoint. MYOB is an application offering accounting and payroll software. Integration with MYOB meant generation of invoices and the like from within SharePoint were also created within MYOB. This facilitates account management for the clients for whom the invoices were raised.
This solution is tied into a custom workflow mechanism within SharePoint in order to allow for a seamless interaction with MYOB. Some of the benefits resulting from this integration are:
- The automatic and transparent export of SharePoint records into MYOB.
- The creation of MYOB Employee Cards which map to SharePoint Team members and the ability to automatically communicate changes between the two systems.
- Bi-directional communication of changes between linked MYOB and SharePoint records.
A MYOB Status Monitor application was developed by 5 Limes in order to silently poll MYOB for changes to records. When changes were found, the linked SharePoint records were updated to reflect the MYOB status. The frequency of polling is controlled by a configuration file.
